Duty of Care, ITechLaw's and Yours

The International Technology Law Association (“ITechLaw”) is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all 2023 International Asia-Pacific Conference participants. Our decisions and preventive measures will be guided by the requirements and recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Ministry of Health Singapore, World Health Organization (WHO) and local health authorities in Singapore. We are working with The Fullerton Hotel on implementing preventative measures to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus at our 2023 International Asia-Pacific Conference. Preventive measures include:

  • Enhanced sanitization of meeting and exhibit spaces.
  • Masking and social distancing are encouraged but not required
  • Hand sanitizing stations throughout the convention center and offsite event locations.

Please note that these requirements are subject to change in accordance with local laws/COVID guidelines.

The responsibility for a safe and healthy event environment (Duty of Care) is shared among the event organizer, venues, and every participant. All 2023 International Asia-Pacific Conference participants are expected to adhere to and abide by the safety precautions ITechLaw is implementing to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

As part of your Duty of Care responsibilities, you should not attend the 2023 International Asia-Pacific Conference if you:

  • are experiencing, or within the 5 days prior, have experienced signs and symptoms of COVID-19.
  • believe that you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 within 5 days prior to the event.
  • have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by the health care team responsible for your treatment.

Conference attendees should self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and are asked to contact ITechLaw at memberservices@itechlaw.org if they experience symptoms of COVID-19 within 5 days after the 2023 International Asia-Pacific Conference. Should any positive cases be reported within the 5-day timeframe, ITechLaw will communicate this information to all registered participants. Any private health or personal data received by ITechLaw will be treated as confidential.

Please note that by checking the box during the online registration process, you agree to adhere to the precautions and policies above and understand that you knowingly and freely assume all risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, by attending this event. You understand that refusal to adhere to these policies and abide by these precautions may result in immediate removal from the event and cancellation of the registration, without receiving a refund.

*All ITechLaw policies are subject to change. Final requirements will be communicated 1 week in advance of the event. Should changes be made, a notification will be sent to all registered attendees.
